Stephen Campbell - December 2nd 2021 A capicua painting - palindromic, the date in the American calendar is 12/02/2021 the paintings are divided into cells numbered as mirror images of each other, each base has a colour, every time a number is palindromic in that base it gets painted. The colours came from the layers of leaf litter beneath my feet. As the light changes, the paintings become a crack in a doorway to an abstract world.
