Sarah Connell - New Islington Marina is a small original painting of the artist's hometown of Manchester. The waterways of Manchester connect the city to the rest of the country and are an artefact of a bygone time when everything travelled by boat.  The canals all interconnect with Leeds, Liverpool and all over the North of England, these were the motorways of their day and in the 21st century, they're now leisure sites, where people go on canal barge cruises and many people happily live.
