Jerry Gordon - Social Distance neighbours is one of the Rusholme Reflections collection of paintings that focuses on the people living and working in modern-day Manchester. Here we have two masked neighbours socially distancing (as was the norm in 2020 and 2021) and we can see they're both on the phone to different people while standing within talking distance of one another. It's a fascinating commentary on how we're all connected more than we have ever been, but are no longer really sharing face to face conversations.
