Jerry Gordon - Manchester Madonna's - Charcoal - Charcoal is a study for the larger painting completed in 2020. This piece is a homage to Da Vinci and Michaelangelo instead of the Mother Mary and baby Jesus we have two Manchester Mothers sitting on the doorsteps of their Rusholme houses. The poses of each are recreated from the famous paintings by the great Italian Masters.
