Ian Layton - Venice Fundamenta is a small original painting created by the Yorkshire based artist. Another painting that Ian completed in Venice when he was staying with Ken Howard and his wife Dora. The water and the sunlight in this painting just work so well, as always superbly crafted and tied together by Ian.  Conservatively sized and painted 'Plein Air' which means it was painted at this location. His depiction of the light and shadow in this painting is truly inspired.
