Ian Layton - Towards the Old Town is a small original painting created by the Yorkshire based artist. A wonderful painting packed with atmosphere and detail without overwhelming the eye. This piece is simply beautiful and would be a lovely companion piece to 'Last Light'.  Conservatively sized and painted 'Plein Air' which means it was painted at this location. His depiction of the light and shadow in this painting is truly inspired.
