Ian Layton - China town, London is a small original painting created by the Yorkshire-based artist. This painting was completed on a trip to London, Ian was walking past an alleyway in China Town when the chef at one of the restaurants came out of the back door for a cigarette and when the door opened, the light from inside the restaurant flooded the alleyway. Ian began working quickly to capture the image. Conservatively sized and painted 'Plein Air' which means it was painted at this location. His depiction of the light in this painting creates a superb atmosphere.
