Jerry Gordon - A summers day in Rusholme is an oil painting which was completed during the COVID-19 lockdown. We can see a figure walking along the streets of Rusholme wearing a mask, an indication of the times we are living in. Jerry's popular style of painting works through bringing the Northern style of painting into the 21st Century with commentary on the world we are living in. It is also has a subtitle - "An American football referee visits Manchester" this alludes the stripey shirt on the figure with the brolly.
